This spring 2011, Rick took me on a one day tour of some of the waterfalls in North Carolina.  What a great experience!  Rick sure knows the area like the back of his hand!  And he designed the day for my personal hiking abilities..,...in other words, the easy trails:)

I saw some surprisingly beautiful and amazingly huge waterfalls. The opportunity to take numerous shots, with assistance on camera settings and composition was readily available. It’s nice to have a guide experienced with photography!!! Don’t hesitate to sign up for one of Rick’s trips!!  He will definitely make sure you have a safe and excellent journey! Plus as a bonus, you will come home with lots of wonderful photos to share from your experiences!!

Our adventure to the Elk Rut in October was one of most memorable experiences of my life.  We arrived in the afternoon to shoot for several hours before sunset and it was amazing.  After a nights rest we returned for a frost covered morning of shooting the Elk in the frosty grassy fields of Cataloochie.  What a great time.  I have never seen anything like this before and I will remember it forever.

I had asked for a special request.  I wanted to spend the night on the beach and photograph the sunrise and sunset as well as a lighthouse.  Rick set up a trip to Cape Lookout.  We arrived at the ferry on Friday morning, crossed the bay, and Rick drove us down the beach about 8 miles where we set up camp.  We spent the day fishing for dinner, and walked down the beach to what seemed the ends of the earth.  What a marvelous place.  I got some great shots, but I think I enjoyed the adventure more than the photography.  At night, we went gigging for flounder, which made a wonderful breakfast and I took some home as well.
