I’m a big fan and advocate for Raptor, Inc. here in my hometown.  They rescue downed birds of prey, rehab and release when appropriate.  Our photo club, annually, hosts up to 8 different photo sessions at their facility in order to raise awareness and a few funds as well.

Today, though threatened with a rain out, we went down anyway.  It turned out to be absolutely perfect for photography and quite pleasant temperature and humidity wise as well.  It only started raining as we were leaving.  The rain gods smiled on us today.

Many thanks to the staff at Raptor, Inc. for hosting our members and for all the knowledge they impart during our shoots, and, especially for the marvelous work that they do.  They are all volunteers and deserve recognition for what they do.
